Lifeliner activated again, no turtles this time

Terri and I were driving the Lifeliner to meet a tile guy at our rental home when we see two poor little dogs wondering back and forth on the road with traffic. I just had to turn the lights on to get everyone's attention as Terri jumps from the ambulance to try and rescue the dogs. Traffic came to a stand still, the dogs owner showed up, and away they go home.
Sure glad we had the Lifeliner. Perhaps one day it will be a HUMAN!!!

I'll take what I can get when I can get it!!!

:smiley3:

Ambulances all washed and ready

Got both rigs washed and polished today so they can be tucked away until the next show. The 73 is not actually as loud as it sounds in the vid and if you notice, I took the "Ga-Father's" advice and removed the rear bench which makes it look so much better.

Good job there Richard! I know you look for any reason to use the lights.

Yes I do Ed. I need to purchase a new flasher and hook the red headlights up as well. Next show will be the local cruise-in in May and then we're going to an SCI Cemetery car show on Memorial Day somewhere in the Orlando area. That Bill has me running all the time!!!

This is the flasher I used on the Lifeliner and will do the same on the Criterion.

Here is another "using the lights" story: During the '87 New Hope PA meet, we were driving through rural Bucks County and having trouble getting every1 through at the intersections. So, one fella with a hi-top took over and ran interference, using the whole array of lights, parking his rig at the crossroads long enuf for all of us to get through.

Sounds like my kind of man. It is so tempting to just "Light-Up" and go. On the way to the Emergency Vehicle Show last Saturday the siren was used many times and on occasion lights too. Even got the "Ga-Father" to light up now and then but it was only 7:30 in the morning.:poster_oops:

Oh, Jim, see what you missed? You haven't had the pleasure of meeting the Ga-Father yet! He's a "friend of a cousin" of a Florida chapter member. He only appears at PCS meets, or when someone owes money and needs da' knees broke!

GA Father

Do his ancestors hail from Palermo??

While in Burbank in 2007 the ga father was sitting with us at the Leno Show
A Blonde Lady tried to Pick him up and I looked at Him and Said the Lady would Like some Info about You. The ga Father replied with his Name the Ga father and He owns Funeral Homes . Garbage Dumps. and Olive Oil Factories in New Jersey and Florida.

This is getting very strange..........................Richard, let's go back for a moment to the car that started this thread, and its one-time owner, Dave McCamey. Could you give me a brief description of how/where Dave is now? Many thanks. Jim

Dave is currently in an assisted living facility in Berea, OH. He suffered a stoke a couple years back and had to liguidate his assets. I was fortunate enough to get the 73 Lifeliner and Rick Duffy got the 57 Cadillac ambulance.
I've stayed in touch with Dave keeping him updated on how the (term used loosely) restoration was going. Last summer I stopped by for a visit. Dave and I took the old Lifeliner out for a spin through the neighborhood. He really enjoyed that even lighting it up.

A few more things about the ga-father whom is a very close freind of mine as well! He also makes "things" happen, makes offers ya can't refuse, takes care of his family and if ya get on his bad side, ya may just wake up with a horses head in bed with ya!:boo:
