KED

Per Wikipedia, the Kendrick Extrication Device was designed by Richard Kendrick in 1978.
During the 80's and 90's they were used extensively in my area. With the adoption of Spinal Motion Restriction protocols, a KED is used in very limited situations these days. I have a short spine board in my 1976 mainly because a friend donated one.
I am pleased to see someone including first aid items inside their period ambulance.
Although I have been criticized for it, I display my ambulance as it was when last used to train EMT's in 2012 - not as it was when it came out of the factory in 1976.
I do have some current items such as oxygen, airways etc. in case I stumble across an emergency.

At the end of the day, we all have a vision of what our cars should look like, on what they should carry. Have it original as it came out of the factory or as it was when in service or as it could have been using period correct equipment. Your car was in service up into 2012, so for me, 2012 equipment is fair game. Bottom line, who's name is on the registrations......
