Man Ed a couple three of those shots belong in the 1966 Superior lititure, you should send them in to Superior!:toocool: Oh, wait a minute, were about 44 years to late for that!:hide:

When did you get that one Ed? I missed it. It appears to be a combo with the light plug on top? Gorgeous car and great backdrops.

I've been to Mt. Rushmore on a cross country motorcycle trip back in 1972. Looks the same. Nice pictures Ed. In that junk yard, you mean to tell me there is no rear bumper out of all those cars?

Rushmore has changed a lot since 72, the heads are still there but the park service refusal to maintain things has lead to the row of 60 foot pine trees under the faces. then when they re did the parking lot and visitors center some new york architect want his stamp on things so his work plays peek a boo with Borglum's. in 72 no matter were you were standing the monument was right in front of you everything else was secondary. now to see the monument you have to stand just so and it's framed buy the other mans work. but it did needed redone. what worked in 42 when things stopped did not today for the numbers of visitors. it 99 when Bush Senior visited there was barely enough room for his entourag to park. but still it's just like every other government project, not finished.

Richard I told you there is a bumper you just have to buy the whole lifeliner to get it and he wants 5000 for the junked out car.

there have been a number of GM adds pictured there on the vary courner that the last one is taken from and from the old parking lot.
