We are up for a new season on the road with the 67. The insurances is now on for the summer, but unfortunately it is supposed to rain cats & dogs all weekend, so I don’t think that we will be leaving the dryness of the garage just yet.

As usual, I was planning to work on the car all winter, but didn’t do as much as I wanted. Here is what I did:

  • Installed B&M Super Chief
  • Repaired the roof vent (replaced the motor)
  • Installed a center console
  • Painted the interior windshield trim
  • Replaced the dash mount switch panel
  • Replaced the master cylinder and one of the break lines that broke in the process
  • Replaced all but one of the brake fluid bleeder valves. The last one was so rusted that I could not replace it.
  • Replaced the main wire from the alternator to the starter

Still on the to-do list for this summer
  • Replace the break cylinder on the front driver side
  • Fix the leaking power steering
  • Replace the rear axle bearings
  • Install a speaker behind the grill for the Federal Interceptor siren
  • Find the proper gasket for the roof vent
  • Pretty-up the wiring under the hood
  • Fix two areas of the frame where I found rust holes
  • Get the car undercoated
  • Re-upholster the two pieces under the rear corner windows
  • Re-cock all around the fiberglass roof

On the nice to do list
  • Replace the headliner. I have the material, just need to get it installed.

The car is going to the shop on Tuesday so they can hopefully fix the first 3 items on the to-do list for the summer. The rest is fairly simple to do, just have to find the time to do it.
