Jeep Ambulance

M 715

The Kaiser Jeep M715 is an American wheeled military vehicle based upon the civilian Jeep Gladiator. In 1965 the design and developing for the M715 began. The U.S. Government purchased these trucks to replace the M37. Between 1967 and 1969 over 33,000 trucks were produced at the Toledo, Ohio plant. The overhead cam 6 cyl engines were not very reliable due to lack of knowledge on the overhead cam design and lack of maintenance. They had been dropped from civilian models by 1968. The trucks were replaced by the Dodge M880 series.

Worked on a few of these in the Air Force.:)

with the air base up there you see a lot of this stuff floating around. some like this one here are in fair shape. a lot of this stuff is swapped from one agency to another down the cascading list till it's rejected by everyone and sold for scrap. the unit is at a residence in greater Rapid by the pictures on e-bay. 4 grand is way over for my price range. I can get a car for that. the box really looks like a frankland though

I got in the Air Force in '87 most of them were gone. Pretty much all Wheeled Coach modulars. See the more recent ones on eBay all the time.

I'd like to restore an Air Force one, but that would have to be on a bucket list.
