it's alive

today was the day we got a brake in weather for a bit this after noon so we took the 53 for a trip around the block. tossed a little gas down the throat and no one knows when it fired but when we got back it was running caring good oil pressure and charging. the carburetor is in need of a little tune up as the throttle pump does not pump. so we'll go threw that and see if we can get it to run by it's self. now that was nice to hear. nothing like a good running straight 8

OUTSTANDING!!!

It is always a great sound when one of these springs back to life, with its original components, after so many years of silence.

Great going, Ed :applause:

Always great to see them fire and move under their own power. It also helps to give you the push to want to work on them more.

I hope you don't sell this car, I would love to see this car progress through to full resto I know the siren will look good

I hope not to but I have got to thin down space wise and use wise I can't keep all I can find. besides I haven't got to drive it around yet. it goes up on the block today
