a few of you may be wounder if there really is a Spam museum. I drove by the turn off on my way to the micro meet. the activities that day are a gimps into a way of life most of us don't get to experience. with the museum tour only a small part of it. but just to prove the museum is really there here is the turn off for it taken last Thursday.

Spammobile

I have been in the custom vehicle business my entire career. Here is one of the more whimsical projects that I have worked on. I think that I gained 10 pounds just being near this. It is actually one of a pair that was built in Northern California. It is staffed by "Spambassadors", typically college students working over the summer breaks. I understand that it is a big hit at NASCAR events.

It took some explaining to the customer that, if we built them to scale to match an actual can of Spam, it would likely tip over at the first corner encountered, as we determined that cans of Spam are great in a straight line, but do not handle well...

Reminded of a cartoon I saw from WW2,showing "sad sack" in the chow line getting spam, meal after meal the cook would plop on the spam, until one day sad sack gets a care package from home he excitedly opens it to find cans of ............................... you guessed it spam.

not that kind of SPAM

I have heard Spam is a big seller in Hawaii. Cubed, skewered, roasted, baked, whatever you can dream of it is fixed that way somewhere.
Haven't thought of Spam in years. Excuse me, I have to go to the grocery.
