Intersection Lights

I have seen a few pictures of cars from the mid-70s with intersection lights.

Here are a few examples of 54XL with intersection lights on the front fenders.

Does anyone have any ideas what these were lights were?

They are standard running lights such as those that were used trailer. If you search eBay you can identify almost all of them.

I have see the flush mounted trailer lights the 4 inch round ones used.

I love excess when it comes to my cars and I really like these fender mounted intersection lights. Was there a standard light that most used and are mounting bases readily available ? Anything else to be mindful of with these lights ?

Looks like the KD 524 may be it.

That is one, and the other is the Signal Stat 3603 Series RED Round Stop Tail Light, 12VDC, Chrome Bezel, round light. I found them on eBay, but the pair that I found had already been sold. Here is the auction for reference. I think that I might have a few pairs in the attic of the garage, but I will have to have my neighbor check this weekend. I don't like climbing the ladder to get up there since I fell not long ago. If you are patient, NOS (new old stock) units come up for sale at reasonable prices.

From what I can get from the various photos, the 54XLs did not use the Signal Stat 3603 Series RED Round Stop Tail Light. All the photos I could find of the 54 XL with intersection lights had this style ( KD 524). If I go ahead with this addition, I will go with the KD 54 or similar.
