interior lighting problems

ok Its not pro car related but ...1999 Lincoln ex funeral home car ( so I guess it still counts ) lol
everytime I come to a stop my interior lights come on and when I start moving again they go out !! also when I turn off the car and get out the interior lights still on for 10-15 minutes then go out !

its a nice car but this is really bugging me

Mike, I do not claim to be a mechanic but I suggest checking the multifunction switch (the blinker / high beam arm. The 1998 and 1999 have lots of electronics running through this switch. Our 1998 coach brake lights would not light but the blinkers, tail lamps and third brake light all worked. The Lincoln dealer replaced the multifunction switch and problem was gone. the time the lights stay one after removing the key can be set. it's in the owners manual some were. as for the going on and off. remember they work by switching the ground the door jam switch closes to ground them. I would guess it's a door that barley opens the switch when you close it. or one with a bad bushing. grab each door by the end and see if it wiggles up and down. 9 times out of 10 it's the drivers door. the only other thing could be something that is pinching the wire harness say the seat track you weight goes forward you ground it out your weight goes back it opens. but it that is the case you should be able to get it to do it by rocking the seat. but what ever it is it is grounding out the wire to the lights. and if one gets grounded they all come on.
