Horn relay: the original, and a replacement have the same issue. We have determined that two of the incoming wires (harness) should be hot, but only one is. Do I just tap into the live wire, or is there something a little less redneck to do? (No offense to anyone who believes they are a redneck.). The relay itself buzzes but doesn't close the contact. I'm looking at this item as a mini solenoid. Thanks in advance for help!!!!!

Hot wire from the battery to horn relay should be the only hot in. My bet is on a voltage drop from what ever source your hot wire is from. Consistent hot not switched in ground wire to horn button wire out to horn. The horn should honk key on or off. No fuse on powerside.

My technical assistant just called to say I should put the new really where the original one still is- may need to be grounded to the car.
Haven't taken the original one out, because it looks like I'm going to do some damage. Darwin lives.
