If you see any hearses for sale.....

I'm hoping to add a hearse to my driveway in February or March this year. At the moment, I think that my most likely sources for finding my future car will be extremely lucky Craigslist surfing, or more likely, a visit to CW Coach in Cincinnati. I'm looking to break into the hobby with a car from the 1985-1995 era. I figure that way I'll have a car with relatively modern running gear, decent parts availability, and from what I've seen, a lower starting price. I do watch ebay and I check out funeraltrader.com pretty often as well. But if anyone sees a car in the eastern part of the country (the closer to N. Carolina the better,) I'd love for you to let me know. Or if you're lightening you car collection to buy that 1950's car you've wanted since childhood, and that means one of your newer cars has got to go, drop me a private message or something. My budget is not going to be very big. CW Coach has six cars at this moment in my price range, but I have to wait until I have cash. Hopefully Carl will still have a couple to choose from when I get the tax return. I'm thinking something in the $2500 range. Contact me if you see or hear of anything, would ya?

I just some great news! A car that I've been wanting to see for a while is finally available to be purchased. A gentleman in a nearby town recently acquired a funeral business, and with it came a few coaches. A PCS member emailed me to let me know that there is a car in his possession that he wants to part with. It is either a 1991 or '92 Fleetwood FWD hearse, light blue in color with what I would call a light blue or light grey vinyl top. I am not certain what coach builder it is, but the basic style has me thinking S&S maybe. The price is perfect, and the picture (singular, unfortunately) looks good, so we'll find out Thursday when I get to go see it. I'm really hoping this one is THE ONE!
