I think Paul was right, AGAIN!

For those who attended the PCS 2012 Meet and was around my Lifeliner, you saw how it would diesel on me when attempting to turn it off. It started fine, ran fine, no smoke but just try to get it to stop running. With it in gear and the A/C on it still faught me.

In discussions with Paul he recommended I get some carb cleaner and seafoam. Spray the carb inside and out then start it up and pour seafoam down the carb, little bit at a time.

I did both and guess what, all the linkage freed up and the darn car runs like a top with no more issues shutting it down. Before I couldn't get the idle down enough and now I have to adjust the idle screw to get the idle up just a bit.

Kudos to Paul, much appreciated. Thank goodness it was raining when I drove her home because I was headed to the mechanic to have the carb rebuilt which is no longer necessary.

:thankyou2:

Old guys rule!

Paul, you have an amazing wealth of knowledge, seafoam is a great product.
i add a can of seafoam to every fill up in my antique cars.also mix 1 oz.per gallon for all my small engines.

as the old saying goes "an once of prevention
is worth a pound of cure" :respect:
