I hate nature...

W T F !!!!!!!!! The first ambulance i have ever owned (granted a complete heap of crap that dose not even run) and a huge freaking branch creams it last night.. WTF !!! Only had the damn thing for a couple weeks ..

Sorry to hear of the misfortune that has happened. Do you think that it is repairable?

It is.. The windshield was destroyed And the fiber glass top cracked. Just about every wire under the dash was disconnected or cut. After spending most of the day before reconnecting it all we were happily anticipating seeing if she will fire up today.. Guess not. I was on my way to the registry to see if i could tittle her when i got the call. After the expected rejection at the registry i became extremely agrivated to say the least.. With the condition of the ambulance to begin with ( missing peaces and all) Paperwork problems and now an expensive windshield on top of it, i am strongly considering taking her apart right down to the frame.. ( i wont junk it , to much of a junk hoarder for that) I guess it will depend on how i feel if she fires up tomorrow.

it willbr ok

keep your chin up. don't get discouraged. it will start and then you will be renewed with the starting of your ambulance. when you here her run it will renew your restoring spirit. remember, when your driving your ambulance after all the trouble and work, it will make all the trouble go away. one simple spin around the block and you will forget all the hassles to get it running. wishing you all the luck. make it your early chritmas present.!!!!!!:)

hang in the paul, every time i get into rebuilding or fixing my cars there are time i threaten to push it out in the drive way and pour gas on it and light it up and watch it burn to the ground.

But once you get past that and you are driving it around and its running good you will love it and look back at it and find it a intresting story in the chapter of owning and rebuilding it. It will get better. Keep plugging along it all can get fixed and you have a great group of people here to help you find what ever you need.

Hey paul...I know how you feel.....I once bought a Austin Mini that I really wanted and was just about to start working on it when some kids stole it and trashed it ...kicked in the doors, broke every piece of glass in it and just wreaked it. but after getting it back home I parked it and then tracked down every kid ( they were all over 18 yrs ) and beat the crap out them !!!! I did feel better after that lol I left it for a few months to settle down... but when I did finish it (2 years later) it was worth it.

just take a breath and a drink and don't get too worked up about it ( I know its hard) maybe go cut down that dam tree ???? lol

when you start driving it...it will be worth all the BS that u went through

yes chain saw and whittle the tree into a big finger. that will keep you from parking under it again. sounds like half the tree split off. and lets be honest, the glass was probable sand pitted anyway. but I to bought a house on a hill with a big canon in front just so I could let the brake go and hope a project or two slipped into the abyss. got one right now I would gladly let go.

Yankee ingenuity

Paul- this is horrible. Couldn't make a story like this up. Just a big setback I know. I hope you're a little like me in that you'll feel a little better each day.
Wish I could offer some help. If it's a MM I might be able to help with the wiring codes.

yes don't for get that new purchases are covered under you other cars policy most of the time for 30 days. now me I'm old fashion I have 100% comp on all the cars all the time

Thanks for all the encouregment guys.. I had a long week. It was just a lot of work to get that car into my storage area.. The car has no paperwork.. Pain in the but in MA. The back wheels were also locked up and of course at the moment does not run.. I have to keep it at this rural storage yard i built which basically means i fenced off my friends back yard with stockade fencing. The ground is very uneven.. Anticipating that the car would not run i began digging out a steep hill so the car could hopefully be unloaded right behind the fence gates . It was not able to. Just got it dug out when the truck arrived. I have a lot of trouble with code ware i live so i needed it hidden especially with no way to register it in case the neighbors bitch.. Took us a hand crank anchored to the back of a 66 Corvair that is sunk into the ground and a assist in pushing with my Fairmont to get her in place.. This slow move because of the wheels being stuck took about 2 hours.. All this work and then the crash from the tree. So i just got a little frustrated.. Could not insure the glass with no paper work , So ya i just got really Ticked off after all that work..

still check with you policy holder. you have the bill of sale. and if it's under the grace period of you policy they will pay at the rate your other car is insured for. this service is offered by them to you. acts of "God" do not go on your record. simple phone call will get you a yes or no answer and it's up to you to decide to file or not. but sense it not your yard your company could file for regress on your friends homeowners policy and it may snow ball from there.

but we have been there done that with a car or two. when ever you get to pushing to make things happen it seams that your troubles never end. in fact they compound. but now you can step back shake your head and say lets not do that again.

I will look into all that.. The wires should be all hooked up now. Going to put a battery in her ans see if she has power. If she does , a littl egas in the carb and see if she lives. This will determine my next move. If she is dead I intend to strip her down right to the frame.. Nothing is going to the scrap yard. To many useable parts to trash. I can store the parts, but cant sit on the car long with no paper work.. So i guess the moment of truth for her is coming soon.
