These are terminal ends that went on the end of a flexible steel tubing that closely resembles BX wiring. The end would fit into the tail lamp or headlamp fixture, completing the contact. They were used in the 1920's, on just about every automobile. They are not particularly rare, and I believe that they might have been reproduced already.
