Hongqi L7 Kimousine

Hongqi L7 Limousine

I was checking out some pictures of the Beijing Auto Show and was suprised to see a limousine represented. The first picture I saw was of the front and I fell for it right away. I love the design of the header... the lights, grill, bumper etc.

Just a little bit about it taken from this site here.

The new Hongqi L7 limousine debuted at the Beijing Auto Show. The Hongqi (Red Flag) L7 is the short wheelbase version of the massive CA7600L state-limousine-parade car that debuted at the 2010 Beijing Auto Show. The Hongqi L7 will sadly not be sold to the general public but some hundred will be made to ferry around ‘dignitaries’ during the Communist Party’s congress in October. The real VIP-dignitaries, like president Hu Jintao, will use the CA7600L.

First 2 pictures are of the L7 and the last picture is of the CA7600L State Car mentioned.

Too bad there won't be many made. The chances of actually seeing one of these in person is slim. I would love to be able to check one out!

Some more of the Beijing Auto Show can be seen here.

Looks VERY much like the limos that met Richard Nixon when he visited China. On a tangentially related topic, one would think the North Koreans would have used these for ol' whats-his-name's funeral a few months ago instead of the '70s Lincolns.:my2cents:

That still baffles me,for all the military might old Kim -jung-il waved in our faces, when he dies they tie him on the roof of the limo, hey ain't that what Romney did with the family dog?
