Hearse vs. Tree

Obviously, the most important thing is that the driver is ok. He should be thankful to have been driving a mid '90s RWD Fleetwood "tank" with airbags. Those cars have saved many people in crashes.

As for the hearse itself (from a collector standpoint), I don't see a totaled Krystal as a huge loss...

I thought it folded up way to much but then I don't know how fast he was going. swerved to miss dog?? see the same thing happen trying to miss a mouse. of course the first thing is blow threw the tub will you please. but then how did the back glass get broken?

Wow, that thing really crumpled! As Tony said, it's just a Krystal though. Glad the driver survived. Erlanger is the big hospital in Chattanooga, so this probably wasn't far from there in north Georgia. Too bad there weren't any shots of the trooper's car, I love the GSP's gray over blue paint scheme! The broken back door window is rather mysterious though.

sorry about that Rick but you not missing a lot you see one in a tree you seen them all. the top and quarters are fiberglass not sure about the back door on them. it's pretty much a big cap they lay over the stock frame. after they cut the steel off.

I think the rear door on Krystals is composite, and the force of the impact made the rear door flex or twist enough that the window broke. I know the door on my 91 M-M Lincoln is composite, and it is very flexible and will flex alot if it is sticking a little because of ice.

Rear window

Only thing I can think of is that maybe the casket wasn't properly secured and was slammed backwards into the rear door so hard that it broke the glass?

Well, consider that if the car was on the way to a crematorium, there likely wasn't a casket in the back, just the body on a cot. But a loose cot & body could certainly distort a composite back door.
