Hearse history revealed

Thanks to a divine intervention perhaps, I was able to obtain my full history of my coach from the DMV. Scanned copies of original MSO, title changes, related documents, etc. After looking through everything I have a couple questions but here is its history without pictures of the documents:

-CC sent to Piqua, OH to M-M
-Transferred to Crain M-M Sales Marietta, GA
-Transferred to Crain Garage M-M Sales Charlotte, NC
-Purchased new for $23589 by Thomas Yelverton Funeral Service in Wilson, NC
-Sold to Crain M-M Sales Greensboro, NC
-Purchased used for $14500 by Bynum Weaver Funeral Service in Chapel Hill, NC
-Sold to E.C. Terry Funeral Service in Henderson NC
-Sold to individual
-Sold to individual
-Sold to me

The last two changeovers were not documented but known by myself.

So anyways my question is since Crain in Marietta, GA shows up does that mean the car was first sent there and then sent to Charlotte, NC? And also, im trying to figure out whether my coach was specifically ordered by the first owner or not?

Anyways, getting this information fills a huge void and is a great feeling to know. Hopefully someone can help me with the little things that are still confusing.

Great to hear!!!!!

Had a feeling with that car being in the N.C. area it hailed from Crain's at some point in its life, if not when new! Now that you know the origins of that car, you can call Crain M-M if their still in business and get copies of the original paper work for that car! If the blue Crain M-M plate with car # is gone from under the hood, give them the VIN # and they can go from there. That's what I did on my 73 M-M combo when I first got it knowing it was sold new by Crain's.

Current listings for Crain's as of 2012.

Crain M-M Sales, Inc. Mt. Gilead, NC. - 1 (800) 331-5341 or 1 (910) 439-6111

Crain M-M Sales, Inc. Woodstock, GA. - 1 (800241-3486 or 1 (770) 428-4421

This is great news Josh, I know you have been interested in the origins of your car for a long time. Thomas-Yelverton is still in existence, though in a corporate form now.
I wonder if the Charlotte office was not just a warehouse/sales rep location for the main Crain M-M in Georgia...

hard to say if it was ordered or sold new from stock from the information you have found. the back and for the sale in the dealership shows that kind of thing going on way back them. but the rout Jeramey laid down would tell you if it was a special order or a stock order.

Crain is still in business but when I called they told me that they only maintain records back to 1980. Let us know if you have any luck.

Well I emailed the Woodstock, GA Crain and was told their records dont go back that far. I provided all information I have including original FH.
