Head's up - 2012 PCS Cookout

Once again I will be hosting the PCS Ohio chapter cookout on April 28, 2012. The reason this isn't in the "shows & events" forum yet is there's a bit of a dilema...

I've bought a home just west of Bucyrus, on Lincoln Highway (the historic former Rt. 30) and now plan to host the cookout there.
This presents 2 problems:

1. The event is listed in the NEW Ohio chapter newsletter with my current address.

2. Although being pre-approved for a mortgage before shopping, it seems everyone is dragging their feet to get this deal done! The seller is retired and now living in Florida, but she's in Ohio waiting on the closing on the home. Found out yesterday they haven't even done the appraisal or any inspections! The closing is pushed back to March 23rd now... and not holding my breath it'll happen then with all these delays.

Regardless, the plan is to leave a month cushion to get all this s*%t out to the new house & shop (yes, it has a seperate shop on the property) so by the end of April the dust should have settled from this move and most everything in place for the cookout.

Either way the cookout will happen April 28th... but since so much can happen between now & then with this move i'm forced to leave the location open at this time.
Please mark your calendars and plan to attend! :thankyou2:

just lay back put the cane pole in the water and wait. it took me 3 month to refinance this house just last dec. the time before I did it in 2 weeks. same bank same adjusted and all.

no one can say why it took so long. but it did. I just looked at the main man and said this ain't no way to run a RR. he shrugged. got no answers either.

Thanks for letting us know. In the next newsletter I'll let everyone know to contact you for the location. :)

First off, sorry to you Michigan guys for not making the Micro Meet. Work is so crazy we've been given ONE day off since New Years and there was no way to attend, as much as I wanted to be there.

Congratulations on the new house. So how big is this new shop?
Josh, they're NEVER big enough!
The house has a 24' x 28' attached garage and an insulated 30' x 38' workshop with a loft, furnace, and compressor with shop air drops. It'll due fine for now and there's 2+ acres so the out building can be expanded on later.

Sarah i'll let you know as soon as possible for the next newsletter and will post the location here on the website ASAP.
As always everyone is invited, and those coming from a distance I will accomidate you with a bed for the night and whatever else you may need to feel at home for your visit.

It's official... the closing on my new house went down today without a hitch!
Here is the official address for the cookout:

938 Lincoln Highway
Bucyrus Ohio 44820

It's exactly 8 miles east of Rt.23 for you Michigan folks attending, 4 miles west of Bucyrus. The new Rt. 30 4 lane freeway is visible off in the distance from the house, Lincoln Highway is the historic rt. 30 two-lane. It's also been renamed C.R. 330 (county road 330) in case your GPS can't find Lincoln Highway.

Coming in from either direction on the new Rt. 30 highway, keep in mind that the historic Lincoln Highway interlaces with the new freeway... so there are numerous exits labeled CR 330, especially between Mansfield & Upper Sandusky.

Please mark your calendars! April 28 starting at 1pm

There will be a Canadian or two attending again this year. :smileflagcan:

Congrats on your new place ! :specool:

ROAD TRIP !!! :17875:

Looking forward to it,
Darren

I will be there as well--hopefully driving my limo this time. Just got the motor back yesterday. This would be a good trip to try her out!

REMINDER: The PCS cookout is this coming Saturday (April 28) at 1pm.

Those planning to attend please send me a PM or email so I have a rough idea of a headcount for the event. Those who already have notified I thank you!

I plan on attending. I haven't gotten my car out of winter hibernation though, so what I drive will depend on whether or not my '66 is cranky or not.

I will be there, unfortunately, my car will not. Just getting the front suspension put back in and then it's motor time. Looking forward to seeing everyone!!

Unfortunately..............

Due to other commitments I will not be able to attend this year. Having been there last year, I can tell you this is a great time and is well attended. Nobody leaves hungry, I can tell you that.

Just to let chapter members know, the latest Ohio PCS newsletter went in the mail tonight. You should be getting it in the next couple of days. With the spring issue in the mail, this means that it's the start of the Ohio Chapter annual membership drive. If you'd like to pay your 2012 chapter dues in person, bring cash or a check to the meet this weekend and I'll collect them. Checks can be made out to the Ohio Professional Car Society. Thanks and see you this weekend!!

THis is one meet I would love to make it to, but unfortunately at this time it looks like I am going to be tied up at work this weekend. Hopefully I will make it next year, and hope to see all you guys in Daytona. Have fun this weekend.

Cook Out

Dwayne

I would have love to come up and see the new place and the progress on the Pinner Service Car.

Unfourtanely due to the accident, just before Thanksgiving, that has messed up my back I am still not able to travel.

Right now it also looks like I will miss the International as well. :poster_oops:

I will miss seeing all of you. I hope to have the problems with my back fixed well enough in time for next year.

Jack
