What would be a correct spotlight to have inside an ambulance in the early to mid-80s?

In BC we used to use a black rubber coated one that had a 3 pin connector wired into the dash with a curly cord. I think it was called a Cavitron? although Google searches don't show it. Lots of vintage automotive handheld spotlights on Ebay.
