Groan Button

Only temporally, while I was doing maintenance on the system. The other choice would have been to turn off the forum, which I prefer not to do, unless it is absolutely neccessary.

Has anyone groaned anyone while it was active??

Taking the forums down would be a drastic and catastrophic action. Turning it off, is like turning a light off, and then back on. The Thank You and the Groan are an integrated unit, and when making setting changes, they both have to be "energized", so the changes will take effect. The other choice would be to turn the groan on, and turn the system off, so I know that no one would be able to use the groan.
The forums are turned off for a brief moment in time every day to do a backup of the content, and most people never notice this. This is because it is done in the middle of the night when everyone is supposed to be sleeping....... well, almost everyone. The one doing the back up has to be awake... :D
