Great News from the Northwest

You may have read in another post that I was recently laid off from my job. Well, today after only 2 weeks of unemployment, I landed a new job. I should be back behind the wheel in a few days, driving a 2009 Freightliner Car Carrier! YEEEEEE HAWWWWW!

Great news Rick

Glad to hear that Rick. I missed your earlier post regarding your employment status. Must have been a tense few weeks. I'm sure your new employer will appreciate your enthusiasm...how can you go wrong with a car guy driving a car carrier. Sounds like a winning combination.

Will you be doing local runs or more far afield?

I'll be doing mostly Greater Seattle-Everett-Tacoma runs but since this company tows for most of the high end luxry car dealers, statewide is a good possibility. If Paul gives permission, I will post a link to the company's website.

Don't need my permission to post a link to a tow site, but you might want to first check with the company itself. They might object ............

Congrats Rick, way to go! Maybe you can do a cross-country if someone needs a Pro-Car transported. May be a new avenue for them! :boo:

Glad to hear you got a new job Rick! Like Richard said this may come in handy for some members if this is something your new company would want to do and it would give PCS'ers a peice of mind having someone that they know transporting their coach for them!

Great news Rick! I too had missed the post about you being out of work. Hope you get some cross country trips and come see us.:071:

Its not a multi-car hauler; its the same size truck as Dwaynes buddy that hauled Rocky's Olds and Ron's 64 Cadillac. Im just happy to be getting back to work.

Rick,
Congrats on getting a new job and only being out of work for a couple weeks!!! I am a fellow tractor trailer driver and lost my job of 14 years in July 2009 and am still trying to get a job!! I am only a local driver and have never done over the road like you have, over the road I would think is one of the hardest jobs always being away from family. Local jobs here in western New York seem to be few and the people wanting to fill those spots are many!! Sounds like you found noot only a job but also one that you might enjoy!!!
