Steve Lofton tagged me in a post on face book yesterday. he had run across a picture of a late 40s early 50s Economy conversion with tunnel lights. looks like the proud new owner picking it up at the plant.
nice 3/4 shot showing the front of the lights clearly. as you can see they have the same type fill at my Pontiac. you can clearly see the economy glass etching. what also is evident clearly is that the line on the top of the lights are even with the the other horizontal planes of the car. the bottom of the lights set just above the windshield molding. this is consent with the stretched 53 Economy picture that surfaced a little bit ago. so it would appear that they are consent in there construction,on there cars. the set they did for Meteor was all together different .
the one I have hers has the lights pointing up from the other horizontal plains.
making the lights sit about 2 inches above the glass molding. so now defiantly we can rule out Economy, Barnette, Meteor, Acme, JC little and National.
making Armbruster the manufacture by default if nothing else. unless some one has another maker they know about
