Dan will remember this one it went in for a hart repair some 7 years ago. just got it home yesterday. I had to go up to Rapid for some skin Cancer surgery today just Basel cell. 2 burners 2 stiches clear margins first time. now to heal up again. don't forget to go in and get checked over. find them early. so we have a rebuilt engine in this 72 now, with the stay in the yard while he rebuilt the one I found in Sturges I got 3 years in the sun and a broken windshield. then sat half in and out with the engine in waiting to get the accessories boulted back on. the top is all most striped, and I have a ton of dead millers in it. but it's home and rather than fight it we decided to work around his other job in Rapid stripping car in a junk yard. as it's just one more around the house, he has promised me a used running 500 for my 74 that is frozen up. so that will be a good thing I hate a none running car. yes I have all the moldings for the car t tunnel lights and a beacon. anyone know were another set of CB bullets are hiding?IMG_4805.JPGIMG_4806.JPGIMG_4807.JPGIMG_4808.JPG

when your frustrated with a project it's best to just step away for a bit. so, with that being said baby does need here new shoes put on. started yesterday ended up having trouble getting the next tire to seat on the rim so left them with a tube in stretching them out some. they were good to go this morning. we jumped on the chance to do different things. baby looks a lot better with new shoes and the nuts covered. I don't believe I was doing 70 down the road with that tire. but you can't get a better balance on a new tire then that. had two that didn't need a weightIMG_4901.JPGIMG_4902.JPGIMG_4903.JPGIMG_4904.JPGIMG_4905.JPG

learned something today. you can't put the fiberglass wagon skirts on a sedan body. they are different in the rear at the end of the leg. Know anyone that might need a set I got them cleaned off and primed?

so anyone know the difference between CB skirts and Oldsmobile in the 71 to 76 years. with the original 890 tires on the CB they had to narrow the front dog leg. they did it by cutting a slit up the center and pushing the inner lip over the slot and welding it. that way the tire did not rub if you went over a bump. the other way is the sill number wrote all over the car to keep the right parts with the right body on the line. picked up these black skirts from Duane. there are no bad parts these rusted out skirts gave up their moldings and one the center section I need to repair my best worn out one. there are no bad parts just some that aren't repairable and donate so others can be.
