I thought gas was usually higher in florida than neighboring states?
Ok I'll explain. SHELL and Winn-Dixie have a deal with the purchase of so much in groceries and certain items they give you a gas discount.
Her discount was $1.25 off a gallon of gas so we take her car and fill it up and my Buick gets the left over.
Gas here is about $3.29 a gallon.

just got back from out ricks way. man unless you got a diesel don't go the the north west. we were up on the pass and need to gt home and gas was 4.43/9. I took 10 gal. gas in Olympia was as low as 4.09 and when we left it had dropped to 3.99. payed 3.39 in wy it's 349 here today.

Gas tax varies by county
The counties levy a pretty good amount on each gallon of gas. I like to fill up when I'm in Hillsborough County (Tampa); It's usually 8 cents less than here in Sarasota. In Alachua (Gainesville and UF), the tax is extremely high. The logic given to me is that the "parents" pay the charge card bills but they don't know how much the gas costs per gallon. Amazing.
