gas cap for 62 Eureka Hearse

Hi all

Left my gas cap at the gas station. We have just a few parts stores here in Honolulu and can't find anyone knows about old these old hearses.

Anyone know what will fit my 62 Cadillac Eureka Hearse. Would be nice to have a locking cap.

Should be a screw on item with a couple of tabs on it. Could be wrong. Should be able to find it one of the few parts stores.
 
I know that Mike Stevens picked up a radiator cap to use as a daily driver cap when I mentioned to him how rare a part the original cap is. Finding a gas cap of that vintage is difficult. I searched for over 6 months to find the correct one for my 1963 Pinner Chrysler a couple years ago. I located it on eBay after a lot of looking, and buying a couple that looked correct, but were not.. Paul
 
Drop Russ Austin a PM. He came across a cut up '60 Eureka in an AZ junkyard last summer and has visited it a couple times. If there is still a gas cap, he'll know.
 
there has to be a farm fleet type store in the state some were. they got cowboys and all that. should be a external tab vented cap. same as most old tractors and farm machinery. those type of stores sell a lot of them. all your automotive stores no longer do, so so they forgot about them.

Thanks Russ Austin. I wanted a locking cap and found one for 1959 Cadillac on Ebay. Will let you all know if it fits. Hope so $59.
 
gas cap

Actually the locking gas cap I found was listed for 58 Cadillac and some other GM. Is a Stant with white sticker on it G-82. $59! I had to remove the rubber piece to make it work. Chrome and real art deco looking.
