Funeral memorial cards

Jim Tighe - Deceased 1942 - 2012

March 10, 1964 - April 27 2012
Hi, Folks. Today, at the local flea mkt, I found a sales brochure from around the previous turn of the century, for funeral memorial cards. They were quite large and elaborate, and there is a sample card included, IIRC. The company was in Leipsic, OH, a small burg north of Lima. If any of you would like this item, holler and I will get it. I think the price was only a buck. First hollerer wins the prize. Jim, in Galion, OH.

Yes you did, Mike. Congratz. If you are going to the Piqua gig next month, I will bring your prize. Otherwise, send me a snail mail address, and I will forward the brochure to you. I think you will like it. Jim

Mike I am not sure I am doing the PM response thing right, so will tell you here that the brochure is much more elaborate than I had at first noticed, with several inserts, incl. a sample card printed on heavy stock. I picked it up 2day. A real period piece, from about 1904, and in good shape.. Hope you like it. Jim

to like or not to like

Jim,
I am sure whatever this turns out to be it will be a good addition to my automobilia collection. I will be the taller good looking guy in the 61 M-M coach. Scott will be the other good looking guy from southern Ohio. Its a local thing. We can better explain it in person.
Thanks again Jim,
Mike

:thankyou2:

I will be the elderly fellow who looks like a composite of R.E. Lee, Jerry Garcia and Arlo Guthrie. Don't know yet what I will be driving. Prob either a silver '76 Lincoln Town Car or a 2-tone blue '85 Caprice sedan. Unless I find a nice Duesenberg Rollston JN like the one Bill "Bojangles" Robinson had between now and then. Bet on either the Continental or the Chevy.......................
