For you former ambulance drivers and attendants...

I recently ran across an article that ran last year in the Seattle Times called "Ambulance Days" by Jon Talton. It's a great account of early EMS from the perspective of an ambulance attendant. Not sure I did the "link" correctly. If someone can help me out, it would be appreciated.

great story telling

Love the article.... brings back a lot of memories... very realistic on how wild and crazy it could be back then...

In the Authors words" Run Frosty" !

No sugar coating in that story,it was what it was, enjoyed it very much, and although not as busy as he was, can on several fronts relate,it is the most satisfying career, and I would do it all over again if given the chance..Thank you for posting it.:applause:

Ambulance Days

Pat,

All though I would not want to stop you from volunteering your time and services......

EMS, now days is very differant from those earlier times.....;)

I think those that worked in the "good ol days"will agree that those times were very special...lots of hard work, dedication and much to little in the way of pay....however as Wayne stated I would never trade that time in my life for anything....it really was a more simple time and with the dawning of EMS services it was a great time to be a driver/attendant.....:)
