Flooded hearse for sale ...

Hmm, a car that was flooded - that has had water in parts of the car that were never intended to get wet (brake lines, fuel tank, engine block, oil pan, carpets, etc.), that had water in the electrical system while the electrical system was hot (until the water shorted everything out), that still has water leaking out from the mounting holes of the landau bars (in the photo), that apparently still hasn't properly dried out and will have mold in places you'd never see but would eventually smell? That kind of car?

I dunno, I've never had a flood car, but that sounds like a bad idea to me......

I think the draining water is just from a quick hose off to try to pretty her up.

There's be enough been said about the Northstar engine problem for me not to even consider it even without the water damage.

The amount of easily seen damage to the rear compartment much less the pool of mud in the front floorboards tell me it wasn't a light dunking.

I wouldn't touch it at any price and the one listed isn't anything more than a reseller looking to make a quick buck.

Water Damage

Any pros or cons about purchasing a flooded automobile?

Lots of electronics and grounds that depend on a very minimal voltage drop .WATER=DEATH

How about a nice rust free and water free :) 93.

don't run just walk away. it caries a salvage title for a reason. the sheet steel panels will be good but only if you get them soon and can clean the mud out. everything else will be trashed. if not right now then tomorrow when you start to drive it. the silt will get into everything that moves and it will eat it's self up as you go down the road. flood or fire nether makes for a rebuild able car.
