FLINT ! Who's going to the 2013 micro meet ?

28 days until I head West to Flint from Toronto !

I will be leaving on Thursdays Feb 21st.

Gotta get there early and hit Rider's hobby shop and some antique shops.


Who's else is going ?


My first ProCar event for 2013.

I am excited to say that I will be attending my first Flint Micro Meet this year! I can't wait to meet everyone and see Brady's Life liner!

Actually I am going to be at Russ Dalziels house early Thursday morning as I am going to do a favor for someone,best he tell all,but I could not say no,then on to Flint for a great show:D
 
Pate and I are coming. Not sure when we'll get there - I was planning to come on Friday, but now..... I have a movie job scheduled for Friday in Connecticut.

The day may change, or I may drive up later, who knows.

I'm working on a diorama for the model show. If I get it done in time, and get there, you'll see it.

Not sure when yet, but we will be there. At the latest, Friday afternoon, but if I can work the time off (He is retired and has all the time he needs!), we will be leaving Western Pennsylvania Thursday morning and be in Flint some time Thursday afternoon/evening. I really am hoping and planing on being in Michigan on Thursday!

Darren, what and where is Rider's hobby shop? Is it something that dad and I should take a few minutes to find and check out?

Hey Brady, if we do manage to get up there Thursday, do you need any help Friday morning/afternoon getting things set up? Message me or e-mail me and let me know. We would love to come by and give a hand if we can!

Riders Hobby Shop is 7.4 miles directly North of Brady house on the same road. 15 minute drive.

2061 South Linden Road
Flint TOWNSHIP, MI 48532
@ West Corrunna Road in a plaza on the south East corner.

Just a great hobby shop that has all the cool stuff.
trains, planes, models, rockets, RC, slot cars, die-cast, etc, etc.
Like a old school hobby shop, not todays craft shop.
I have bought lots of neat stuff there.
Worth checking out. You can easily spend time in there.

Hey Darren, thanks for the info on the hobby shop. If we make it up there on Thursday like I want to, it might be a place to check out in the few spare minutes that we have.

One thing that I want to know... You mention to Richard that there will be 'ladies' in attendance in your last post... Will Digger be able to attend with you? We sold quite a few of 'Digger's... leg length' of raffle tickets last year to help support the cause! Hope that both of you can make it and enjoy another Micro Meet with the rest of us!

OH YA !!! Digger will be going again this year !!! She is so excited !!!

She picks up vault supplies on the way in Port Huron so that is why we go to that meet together.

She will have those long legs there again for ticket selling. There sure were a LOT of tickets sold last year ! With John, Fran and Duffy selling them, I'm sure there will be another record breaking year to help out the wonderful MI chapter hold a fine winter getaway !

I'm 5' 11" but those legs she has makes her taller than me at 6'+



My girlfriend will be in HAWAII during that week enjoying the sun and surf on the North Shore and the shopping in Waikiki !!! Holy Heart Break Batman !

Hawaii (warm ocean breezes, swaying palm trees, bikini clad girls, 15 foot waves, surfing, relaxation, more bikini clad women, island food, drinks, Dole pineapple ice cream, etc...) vs Flint (PCS friends and cars !) I picked Flint !

Well, I was told it was another girls trip with her hottie friend Beth.

I go to Flint, she goes to Hawaii.


Can't wait to see my friends in Flint !!!!!

Barring any difficulties with the weather along my 600-mile route through upstate New York and southern Ontario, I'm also looking foward to my pilgrimage to Flint, especially as George & Bee Hamlin shouldn't have to carry all the weight when it comes to 1/43rd scale representations of the old Soviet Union's achievements in luxury limousine building. Lest a blizzard stops me in my path, you can also count on Citroen and Mercedes to be memorably represented in my model delegation. Having reached the age where I can't knock off 600 miles in a single day even when Ma Nature isn't being difficult, I will likely stop Thursday and Sunday night in Batavia, NY and work in a visit to Buffalo Road Imports (a truly-remarkable repository of old & new diecasts along NY 5 in Clarence) or Niagara Hobbies near the Buffalo International Airport. I'm also curious to know at this point if any PCS people plan on taking the Oscars extra-seriously once Brady's hosting duties have wound down.
