Do we have any flashlight experts in the group?

I am looking at getting a couple of mid 80s flashlights as part of the equipment for he 54XL and want to make sure that I get the correct ones.
 
Mid 80s you have the choice of Mag or Streamlight, both were still fairly new product in the 80s and priced according to manufacturer's dreams. Mag also came out with the Mini in the mid 80s. Mag also offered a rechargable with NiCad cells that didn't last long.

There were also plenty of Ray O Vac flashlights, both 3 and 6 cell in use and the ever popular light that attached to the battery terminals that doubled as a dumbell. If the company was buying, Teledyne Big Beam was still the god of the industry. Kohler Wheat lights were pretty much all retired by the 80s.
