I think I like the sound of the cotton/nylon fabric... Oh wait you are talking about car flashers. Have you heard the one that plays Elvis instead of clicking? I think most of them do not click loud enough! Why else would someone drive down the road with a turn signal on for miles?
I want one that taps out in Morse code to all who see 'hey dummy, I am making a turn here'! That blinking light would sure get some attention. Click or hum...makes no difference. They are not on for that long.

I was referring to the flasher that operate the emergency lights on ambulances... I thought that an old flasher like you would have realized that... :2gunsfiring_v1:
me it's what I can get down town. we have a man that runs the parts store here that is on the fire dep and he has a good suppy. he likes the click clack ones. but a motor one you can set the speed on would be nice.
If you compare the price, you can probably buy 20 of the thermal flashers for the price of one motorized flasher. That makes the thermal flasher my choice.

I prefer the mechanical and motorized kind. I have one of the old Kay-Lab brand flashers that operates my red grille lights on my 73c M-M combo. I love the sound of the click-clack of that flasher unit!
The last of the alternating thermal flashers (#537) disappeared off the shelves about two years ago. Everything now is electronic. They're OK, but give me a motor-driven flasher any day.
