First Car Show - We Took a Top Award!

Finally after 7 years of work, our 1964 M-M 48" ambulance is on the road. We attended our first show on Saturday in Olcott, NY and took home an award for "Best Work in Progress". Needless to say we were quite surprised! It has been a long haul to get the car to the point that we are at now, and there is still work to be done. I would be remiss if I did not thank Paul, Sarah, Rick, Jim and many other PCS members that gave us valuable help and information for our restoration, we would never have got to this point without the help.ken 1.jpgken 2.jpg

Ken, congratulations on your award! That is fabulous news. Though I've helped by giving advice over the years, your hard work and dedication is what has really earned you that award. Keep up the good work.

Now that your car is road ready, you should bring it to the Bring Your Own Coach Meet at Ron's in September. The chapter would love to see it.

Thanks Sarah, we would love to come to Ron's in September. It will all depend on some mechanical issues we are working on now.

Beautiful!

Excellent work Ken!:applause:

You guyz have done a wonderful job restoring her! I can't wait to see it in person! All the best!

Over and Out!:D

Absolutely gorgeous! I am envious as I have always wanted a '64 M-M ambulance or limousine style combo. I especially like the fact that you did not paint it red!!

Yes I second that! However the images posted do not allow us to see the actual color of the vehicle. What color is it exactly? It looks like a dark blue or dark forest green in the second image and in the first image it looks almost black. Either way I think it looks very classy and stylish.

From one 64 owner to another, congratulations. You and I have the same interior color schemes in our 64s

Excellent Kenny! Kenny and I worked together when I was 15 back in 1974 and 1975. I was a dispatcher and he would let me ride between him and the attendant. At that time we use a 1966 Cadillac M+M 42" and 1968 Chevy Biscayne National w/ M+M corner grimes lights we put on her.

Kenny your 1964 looks great and was saved from the wreckers torch for sure. IN WNY Rapids VFD had a 1963 M+M like your car. Most of the other models were superior coaches.

Peace and blessings to Kenny and Amy Olson for their beautiful 64 Highboy!:applause:

Congratulations to you and your wife on the award. But, Work In Progress? Most of us would be happy to own a beautiful ambulance like yours. It looks fabulous!
