June 12th and finally got some time and a brief bit of good weather here in Minnesota to get the 67 Cadillac Superior out of its long winter hibernation. A good charge up of the batteries and it fired right up! Gave her an oil change and a nice wash. Took it out for a five mile spin and it ran flawlessly! It got up to temperature just fine and ran with without a sputter! The overwinter Seamfoam has done it’s trick. Now time to work on some small details as time allows and maintain the work Jim had put into this car. Planning on a 75 mile run over the Fourth of July to some friend’s which will be its first big road test here in MN. If that holds I have decided that the car will have it first big official role as frontrunner in the Lake Lillian community day parade the first weekend in August! A five block long affair down Main Street of my hometown after a day of hanging out at a small car show there beforehand. I can say it is great fun getting to know this car and being able to preserve it’s history.
