looks the same to me. you have to remember the 30s have been around for a long time. they went threw a number of changes. this one looks to be the style that the pegs were on the top basket not on the bottom frame.

Model 30 yes, but there is a custom handle on the head part? Not in aluminium, black (or any dark color painted?) on the 2nd picture.

That looks like a strap or piece of rope tied around the head of the cot, used as a handle. That was not uncommon - in fact, that's still pretty common today!

Cool picture - my father had a car just like this one when I was a kid, '68 Chevy Caprice 4-door hardtop, aqua with a black vinyl roof.

here is the one you need Bruce. sorry it went to Mexico. see how some enterprising sole has add straps front and rear on it. the old one has the pegs on top the newer ones have them on the bottom. and yes they do look different. the second on is probaly the last just before it was discontuned and turned into the #35

In our old handouts from ferno washington, they stated the stretcher was not to be moved in the upright position, that elevating it was only for loading a patient, and then lowered to move, thus the straps,or handles as seen elsewhere, how many actually followed this advice from the manufacturer:3_7_11v:not me:badbad:

I changed my modern belts by those black "airplane" style belts and chromed buckles that you can find on Ebay, I think it looks more period correct than my old ones with life crosses on them.
