1957 Pontiac Hearse/Ambulance · Wagon · Driven 43,000 milesRare, Rare, Rare. 1957 Pontiac Hearse/Ambulance. Great condition. No rust. Barn find. 3 speed on column. New brakes, battery, fuel pump, gas tank, tires. New curtains. Nice green paint with minimal patina. Located in Brookings SD 57006.
The seller is asking $20,000 for the car as it stands. You will spend at least that amount of money getting the paint and mechanical work done on the car, and that is assuming that you will not need to find any expensive and rare parts. While I like to see these old cars restored, sometimes it is out of the average person's budget just because of the cost of the car alone. Both sellers and buyers need to be cognizant of realistic values for what something is worth before the restoration and after the restoration is completed. It is a given that when you restore a car you rarely get your money back and that when it is sold, you expect to lose some of your original costs. On this car, I believe that it is grossly overpriced. This is my opinion, and others may disagree. It is to be seen if the car sells or not.

Of course that is Canadian dollars. Which helps us going south.
It is for sale in South Dakota and it is posted in US dollars. Even if it were Canadian dollars it is still too expensive.
