Well after a busy spring Jen and I got our cars to The Rotary Club Motorcar Show on Fathers Day. We had a great day, and the 63 won second place in it's class.

What an absolutely stunning car, one of my favorites in the entire club.:applause:

Well done Brendan. I can't picture what would have taken first given the choice.

They put me in the Special Interest Class. I'm not sure that is where I should have been, I was there with AC Cobra Replicas and newer cars. The photos were of after things wound down Jen brought her Mustang over post judging.

You were robbed Brendan.....so consider yourself winning FIRST Place AND BEST OF SHOW !!!!! :applause:

Out here they they are very strict about vintage...... most shows are 73 and older and even a few that are 68 and back......

New cars are not allowed even if they are newer models of older cars ...special interst or otherwise.....
But there are always a few guys showing up with off the showroom floor cars....and then throw a fit when the promoter tells them NO.....the usual reply is "do you know how much this car costs ??".......the reply to that is "were not showing VALUE,we are showing VINTAGE.......

Anyways...your the WINNER !!

I agree with James...you were done wrong!

I've been to a few shows like that and those I have parked with were very blunt..."What showroom did you just drive out of?"

The show organizers need to give their collective heads a shake.

Thanks guys but it was a great day. My cousin was parked next to me with his Cobra replica, Jen had her Mustang there, the baby had a blast and was well behaved. Most of my family stopped by to visit. So I did win.

yes you did to get anything with a pro car at a locale meet is a feat worth celebrating. let alone second. they just don't warm up to our cars at most of these kind of shows.

Congrats Brenden. Our hearse club attended a Fathers Day show and we got the "club participation" trophy, (7 hearses) One lady in our club won second place with her '88 Lincoln Eagle landau. I scooped the 1st place trophy with my '54 Pontiac Superior landau...funny, they put us in the *special interest* class too.
