Exhaust system for my 70

Can anyone recommend a source for an exhaust system for my 70 superior caddy.I need everything from the headers back.I want it to be completely stock.

even my NAPA store would not guarantee that if they tried to order the parts that they would be the correct ones. They did not have much info on older stock parts, let alone a commercial chassis.Would any one know if the crossover and muffler for the stock chassis would be the same for a commercial chassis?

Did your NAPA dude/dudette actually open a catalog, or was he/she just searching their computer catalog? They should have a printed "vintage" Walker catalog that will include a lot of information not listed in their computer catalog. A lot of the NAPA folk are too lazy to actually open a printed catalog. NAPA has a printed "Vintage" catalog for most of their lines.

What I did when it was time to replace the exhaust system for my 67 Superior, I spoke with the local car guys to see which exhaust shop they recommended.

I went to see this shop and they build a new system from the Y pipe back. I am very happy with what they did, and it did not cost me much more than trying to fit and modify the standard system for a non-standard car.

From experience, (1) make sure that you get recommendations from the local car guys on where to go, and (2) you get what you pay for.

With that said of a good exhaust shop, step up a little and go a larger diameter exhaust pipe and let the ol'e girl breath better, it may not show up for intown driving but you can get a little better performance and fuel economy and it can still be whisper quiet.
