Exhaust manifolds for a 472

I'm looking for a right and left exhaust manifolds for my 73 Cadillac Lifeliner. I've decided it's best to get another set, shave them down and install. I have replaced my exhaust gaskets three times and it leaks like crazy again sounding like an old thrashing machine.

have you had the ones you have machined? the problem is they are warped. take them off and run down to the locale machine shop and have them planed. now this is better then getting a new set. why you ask. because planing the old ones will cost less then getting new and they all ready have warped. once the mating surfaces are flat again they will not warp any more. as long as they are not cracked repairing the old is better. the new ones will at some time warp, for the same reason the old ones did. but if you insist the shop Robert used out on Calf has them at a reasonable price

Well said Ed and you know me, the cheaper the better. That is what I'll do. The ambulance will be down for a bit with no parades or car shows lined up so this is a perfect time to get this done..
