Below are the pictures of what Ed started with, and how it has been transformed. It is heading into the final stretch, so stay tuned for more pictures........

This is what it looked like when it arrived...

Ed is starting to take it apart...

Here he is honing his skills as an engine technician...

Decided that he prefers body work better, so he put it back together and painted it.

He has the hood back on, so I think that he is planning on taking it to a cruise night soon...

Thanks Ed for the great work and pictures... :thankyou2:

suprising the difference a little sand glued to paper and pigment swimming in oil do. we will put the front wheels on today I got to get the mound of dirt picked up under the car. before winter sets in.

The "MASTER" at it again. Wish I could afford him for the Lifeliner. Looks outstanding and you must be a proud Papa. Will Ed be driving it to Milwaukee?

I am not to mechanically inclined, but just to remind all of the joy I get from watching these masters at work and reading the informative posts, again I say thanks...:smileflagcan:

Another great looking ambulance courtesy of Ed's Classic Professional Car Restorations! Man, that guy does beautiful work!

As Richard, Wayne and Bill have said, for those of us (like me) not mechanically inclined, it is always amazing to watch a craftsman in action.

Really starting to take shape,as for the senior citizen I am sure most cops I know would definitely follow him home and check it out,not out of duty but curiosity, and would probably stay for a coffee and a visit...:my2cents:

How come we cannot hear the exhaust roaring? I've never been around an old Cadillac that didn't have an exhaust leak and rumbling....

:yankchain::snow_smi::myopinion:

did you not pay any attention to the sherffs car parked on the first courner. it's called small town living. don't do anythig stupid and except responability if you do get cought. if I would have run into the city police I most likly would have been told come on now don't do that again. we're not doing hot laps here just turning the car around. John R and myself marvale at the rest of you traped in your rules and regulations. no matter how many times I tell him Paul still can't beleve I don't have any need for a I-pass. but just maybe we'll get luckly and get some red on today.

I think that's the blue I need for my engine

ED what would the name and/or code be for a Caddy 500 engine in 1975? I think it's the same as on this motor.
Thanks

Here is a photo of one of the last spray bomb cans of the dark blue Caddy engine paint that I bought from Eastwood a couple years ago for reference.
