Hello everybody, does anyone know what this padded part would have been used for in my 1963 Cadillac Superior Ambulance? The previous owner had no idea of it's application. I am sure somebody out there knows. Thanks, Brendan.

I have something like that attached to the upper caninet near the attandent's seat where they kept on bumping their head.
