Death of a Resuscitator

I was stirred from bed by a loud "THUD" this morning. I had one of the large E&J units up on a dresser, all assembled, and door open. Two of the three hinges were broken, but it appeared not to be in a position where excessive stress was on the third, I had it cribbed, per se. I was wrong. The lid/door fell off. I think the cat had something to do with it, since she was nearby, and not startled. Always a key sign she did something wrong. Doesn't appear that it's going to be able to be repaired, such a shame too, b/c it was in great condition, other than the hinges. One of the masks shattered and tore the rubber, another cracked and broke, and the door bent.

:pat:

Do you have parts from another one or can this one be used to make a unit better? Kinda scared me at first when I read the title thinking the one you've been discussing over in the period correct forums had exploded or something!

Ouch! Here's a call for putting heavy things on sturdy shelves. So it goes. At least it didn't fall on the cat. :stars:

I may have some parts needed to combine two into one, lemme check around.

I have three of these trunks, they're all completely intact. I'm thinking about going to a flea market to see about having new hinges put on. B/c these just can't be repaired. Anyone know how to remove old rivets, in a simple, as if I were intoxicated, language?
