CW Coach - Spring Grove Meet - October 8th & 9th, 2011

Once again Carl Woerner has invited us to CW Coach for some private shopping and a mid afternoon cook out, sponsored by American Funeral Coach. If all goes well, we will also be attending the grand opening of American Funeral Coach in Cincinnati!

Arrival time at CW, approximately 12:00 noon, Saturday October 8th. The address is: 7707 Vine Street Cincinnati, OH 45216.

Our host hotel will be the Comfort Inn at 9011 Fields Ertel Rd Cincinnati, OH 45249. We have a group rate of $42.95 plus tax. There are 9 rooms blocked off in the name of "CW Coach". I have stayed there, and it's a much nicer motel than our usual Red Roof, with more perks. One being FREE breakfast! The number for Comfort Inn is 513-683-9700. If you call and the 9 rooms have been taken, please let me know and I will contact Carl to see about getting more. It shouldn't be a problem. Here is a direct link to the hotel:

Other activities are being planned for Saturday night. I don't have the details as of right now.

Fields-Ertel road is a slight hike from where Carl's place is and especially where the cemetery is (opposite sides of town). Good job on taking the initiative for reservations though LeAnn! If anyone is interested, my parents own a restaurant right down the street from the hotel. You can check it out at www.hotdogginit.com, Pearl and I are looking forward to meeting many of you there!

Carl is the one responsible for getting us the group rate. He knows someone at the hotel. We use to stay at Red Roof off Sharondale, Sharon Rd, something Sharon. But last time we were there it was busted for a prostitution ring! We may have to block off more rooms. They are going fast, expecting a good crowd. Let me know if you call and all the rooms have been taken. Thanks!
 
Thought I'd bump this thread to let everyone know that whomever drives their coach to my parents restaurant, they will receive 10% off their meal! Hopefully they'll be able to fill your tummies full of yummy delicious food :D

Loren, a little birdie just told me that you own several pro cars and wondered if a trip to your place would be possible. We are still tweaking our itinerary around. Leaving the original plan at meeting at CW Saturday at noon and once everyone arrives leaving for lunch at your parent's place, then going and checking out your cars ... Then going back to CW and hanging out. We will be having a cook out at American Funeral Coach @ 7:00. Would this work for you? Thanks!
 
Sounds good to me. I'll be arriving Friday evening and heading back Sunday evening. Other than Ron and Barb, will anyone else be there Friday night?

Loren, does the restaurant sell veggie dogs too? I didn't see any mentioned on their site.

While this birdie is correct, all of them save one is in the body shop right now and I'll be driving that to Spring Grove. I do have quite a bit of other classic and current collectible cars though. Perhaps if Susan and Mark Adams are in attendance they would be gracious enough to show their collection. They don't very far from me and their collection is MUCH more impressive than mine.

Sadly Sarah, they have a very beef intensive menu. However, I could talk them into a special order perhaps for it to arrive in time. I'll talk to them and let you know!

Loren, we like to see any cars! So the 'other classic and current collectible cars' would work fine for us too, if that would work out. We'll just play it 'by ear' and see what happens. Sarah, if we decide to eat there, we can stop and get you something somewhere else - just like I had to do when Jeremy was a kid and wouldn't eat Chinese! LOL Carl said we need to eat a 'light lunch' anyway. I think he and American Funeral Coach plan on stuffing us!!!

Unfortunately we will not make it this trip. Probably just as well as I was looking at this coach at Carl's.......................:goodnight_smi:

I just heard from LeeAnn about tomorrow's meet in Cinci. The final plan is to meet at CW between noon and 1pm. At 1pm, we will all go to Loren Baldwin's family's hot dog restaurant, tour Loren's car collection and then head to American Coach Sales for a late afternoon meal. See you there!
 
CW Coach

Wish I could make it but I'll be working. Hope someone takes lots of pictures of all the old stuff at CW. It's always tantalizing to see the edges of old cars in the pictures online. I noticed CW purchased John Ehmer's building-collapse damaged 1968 flower car from copart and has it for sale.
