we have seen a whole lot of cars here for sale recently that could stand a wash. it's known as curb appeal no matter how rough the cars is if you want to sell it for top dollar (for it) clean the trash out give it a bath and clean the glass even broken glass sells better clean. here is a example, which car would you be more interested in buying

since every door on this car need attention we removed them and set them on on the saw horse. final I just screwed a few scraps of plywood to them to make a temporary table. as for the tire mark on the rear door. in order to not damage the door when you turn it over I tossed a small tire in the center of the table. what you see is the the impression of the tire as the over spray from jamming the door slid under it. the rear door especially was hard to handle it might as will be half a ball.

the locale car show is today so time to clean it up and run it down . last year you might remember that it was just a jutted body on wheels when we went down. we are down to one door and the body is repaired. the interior is all together except the door hardware glass and trim. so it's looking and driving more like a car now.

today it has a working light and siren even.

spent yesterday down with the locale drag racing group to support them. nice day for august we have been staying in the 80s instead of triple digits. got to love this climate change. that is when it goes your way. don't worry it will change again.

here are a couple shots of the day. some nice stuff there and one you guys up north of the 48 should recognize. fry favored tag and hood ornament. I just don't think this was a Nash one it's all most bigger then the car.

spent a lot of the time explaining to people the use of the car and no it's not a 58 Chevy. it's a 58 Eureka on a Cadillac commercial chassis. "OH"
but all in all fun with carr guys.

Looks fantastic Ed !

Yep, I see the Canadian wagon.

You could never drive a car in that condition on the roads in ON.

Can't wait to see the progress on the Eureka.

I agree on cleaning a car when you are trying to sell it It seems anymore it is just too much effort for some people to do. I don't know how many times Ive seen ads for a car with only a one sentence description, if that, and blurry night images that are so bad that you cannot tell if its even the same car as advertised. Or you get the great day shots that all you can see is the sun, or a poor angle of the car, like just a partial front bumper (and of course that's the ONLY picture in the ad). Interior shots with overflowing ash trays, and fast food wrappers up to the seats. Pretty much says how they take care of the car, and something that probably has been neglected in other areas too. If you cant put the effort in writing an ad to sell me on the car, its too much effort for me to get interested in it.
Its sad how lazy people are getting in ads but expect premium prices.
