Should of offered it's part to our members. Lots of good parts that could have been saved and made you money. An example, would be the door glass, radio and antenna, etc.. Selling these parts wouldn't hurt the crush value, but would have made your wallet swell with $$$$
will junk is junk. parting one out around your other job is a time consuming task. then in stead of a big pile of junk you got a whole bunch of little piles of junk. the wheels on this one are standard welded gm wheels. I had one. the only different glass would be the center doors now me I would lover to change my fixed door glass to roll ups. but making the trip to GA to get these would not be in the cards. then we got to wounder if the Collins was the same size as the superior. decisions made cars gone two grand will get you a running one. got to love that pick up arm though. grab it threw the a pillar and swing it around I would have loved to see that.
The problem is, you offer a car for parts and then either nobody needs anything, or they think your price is too high. Sometimes on a rare car, it would be worth the trouble, but these are quite common. In this case, it was worth more by the pound.
Well guys your thoughts are partially correct. THis has been offered for parts for all these years on the message board and a few have gotten stuff along. The center door windows were plexxy so nothing lost there. Radio no good, motor 4100 and no good and actually long gone. Did take alot of stuff off at last minute. I hate to crush one but nothing really unique on this car as not commercial chassis.
