Crinkle paint roof

My 58 Superior landau has the original black crinkle painted roof. I have noticed lately that it's starting to look unevenly faded. I am wondering what, if anything, others have tried to "freshen" up their crinkle roof.

50/50

A fellow PCS member told us to try a 50/50 mixture of acetone and rustoleum. It worked great on our 1972 MM and my brothers 1968 MM. We are going to try it on the 1960 Superior as well.http://www.professionalcarsociety.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=10452&stc=1&d=1327280632

I know its not a very clear photo and it is only one coat but it is a night and day difference. if I find a clearer photo I will share it

Post number 9 in this thread was the photos I was looking for last night. The 72 is stored in the garage so the one coat that it has received has held up well. Unfortunately the 68 sits outside at my brothers and is starting to show some rust. Again the 68 only has one coat thus far and I'm sure additional coats would help protect it outside.

The big problem is they painted the top over bare steel. So if rust is forming it will be difficult to treat.
