Hi Allen. I am interested in one of the cots you have shown for sale. Does the mechanism to lower the first one pictured still work and what is the arraingment for the free shipping to Flint? I live near there. Thanks. Larry Hyde.

Top is a #54, bottom is a #21 - either one appropriate for Kurt's '56, but he should get the #54!
Steve, I'm differing to your area of expertise here yet am confused. Both gurneys are Washington Mortuary. The top one (pending for Larry Hyde) is stamped Model 21:

In these pictures, the cot on top (elevating, two level) is a #54, while the one on the bottom (one level, non-elevating) is a #21.

good gosh I am old enough to have used that top model, kick that thing down with your foot... I worked at a funeral home in the early 80's that despite the fact we had a one man stretcher, the management didn't trust it and we had to take two man stretchers on most calls. Someone gave me a that kick down model and I made some removals with it back when I was young and trade embalming and running around in my first professional car - a 1972 Superior Cadillac - black over silver...
