Can you believe it ??? ...this is February 18th folks !!!

I will be loading my diorama tomorrow and heading West to Flint Michigan Thursday morning !!!

It is almost here... The 2014 MICRO-MEET !!! aka ...FRIENDS, FUN & FOOD !!!

I can tell you I am excited to be off the stainless surgery table, healed up and rested... ready to see my friends in Michigan this week-end !!!

I had a lump removed from my left chest so the last week was not the best.
I don't have the results and won't until after the micro-meet but I am hopping it was just a sist of some sort, not cancer or something to worry about.

Well, get ready, see you all soon !!!

Woooohooooo,
Darren

P.S. Digger usually comes to this event with me but can't make it this year.
She is quite upset she will not get to see you all this time around.

Best Wishes

Darren,
I thought it was awful quiet here in the last week or so...;)

Nice to have you back on the board !!

Wish you all the best, and have a GREAT time in Flint !!:)

Darren, Knowing you, it's just a bleep on the screen. I won't be in Flint, so welcome our VP Mark Kennedy. I hope he doesn't ride with John and Rick. Your friend Frank

Have fun! I'll be praying for good news for you. But in the meantime, enjoy the weekend. Wish I could be there! :)

Pate and I will be there, one way or another.

He had surgery last week and has a bum leg at the moment. So he has wheels while he heals.

arriving with

I should be in Flint Friday after noon. For you ambulance guys I have a couple small oxygen bottles. They are about 18 inches long. If you need one see me on Friday or Saturday. I will also have some of the AJ Miller factory bricks from Bellefontaine, Ohio. The building was razed. I was lucky enough to get there before all the 'memento' bricks were carted off to the landfill.
See you in Flint,
Mike

On short notice, if you want a heavy/large/fragile item freely brought to Flint, drop an email (not PM) for pics/specifics within next 24 hours. Space is obviously limited, so first come first serve. Things like:

numerous gurneys or 1 man removal cot $100-350
skeleton racks $200 and up
torchiere lamps $75 and up
Superior jump seats $250-300
'60s Superior flip rollers & floor hardware $200/set
'65-'68 MM removable panels $175/pair
'69-'70 Superior removable panels $175/pair
Prewar Henney rollers $20/ea (6)

Literally hundreds of hearse parts and funerary items here, so ask. I will also have a couple dozen handbuilt models, many diecast, and a few smaller surprises available. Not packing much neon this year.

Looking forward to seeing the majority of you!

Just had a buddy help me load my diorama and will be heading out in the morning for Flint MI !

I have a stop to get a couple custom made cakes to share with everyone attending the mirco-meet !

Will be thrilled to meet up with everyone on Friday and some even Thursday evening.

Drive safe ya'll !

Darren

Despite my plans of riding out to Flint with Ed Renstrom, three funerals on Friday and one on Saturday caused those plans to change. I'm sorry to miss the Micro Meet, which is always a great event, but I will see you all in August when you Respond to Rochester! for the 38th annual PCS International Meet.

I have placed the entire agenda in the 2014 PCS International Meet forum. Registration forms will be posted soon and all of the information, including registration forms, will appear in The Professional Car magazine.

As always, please feel welcome to contact me with any questions. We have a great, family-oriented meet planned and look forward to welcoming you all to Minnesota!

Sorry you can not make Flint, however we are looking forward to Rochester this summer, the program looks awesome and can't wait, friends of mine from the farm gave me the cutest cartoon, shows a kindergarten class and the teacher asks what sounds did you hear on the farm, little mary said MOOO little april said oink, oink and little ralphie said "get off that #%#&%%$ tractor.

My plans for attending the Micro Meet have quickly changed. I gassed up and loaded the car last night, had my hotel reservation, had plans to meet up with Nick Bliss on the way, and then Chicago's unpredictable winter weather hit. I actually did leave home this morning as planned, drove a half hour, and turned around and came back home. The traveling conditions are/were just too treacherous.

I have emailed or private messaged the individuals whom I had business to conduct with, and I hope the board member and the president I contacted will present my new business proposals at the meeting as requested.

Nonetheless, I heartily congratulate the Michigan Chapter on reaching ten years of successful Micro Meets, and I wish everyone in attendance a most enjoyable weekend and safe travels. Though I will add that I still think there is some flawed logic in having a winter meeting in a snow state! :)
