Thank you everyone for your kind words. Yes...34 years in EMS is a long time and I've got a few more years to go yet.
This came as a complete surprise last October and then off to Ottawa in November for the award ceremony.
Listening to the bios of the other recipients is a truly humbling experience...it is nice to be recognized however.
There are thousands of dedicated EMS professionals in North America making a difference in their profession and in the lives of the public they serve every day and some of those post on here!
Here's a photo of the award presented by the Federal Minister of Health and her Assistant.
This came as a complete surprise last October and then off to Ottawa in November for the award ceremony.
