Coach Builders

I was out in the shop today, and a friend stopped by. He was looking at my combos and asked me what the MM ment on the 67. I told him it was Miller-Meteor, and the other one was a Superior. He said he remembered that one of the other hearses I had said S&S on it. He asked me how many different companys was there that built hearses. Whitch got me to thinking, how many coach builders aare there. Without getting out books and stuff, here are all the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I' know I left out a few, so, what other ones can you think of?

builder names

:thumb:Josh,
One not on your list is Seibert. Please correct my spelling if it is wrong. They were located in northern Ohio. Another name from Ohio is Crane & Breed from Cincinnati, Ohio. Springfield Equipment Co built on International Harvester Travelalls. I am sure our members will step up to this one. Someone be the official score keeper for this. Large or small, national or local if they were a coach builder ad them to the list.
Then you get into the regional or local builders. So there may not be a definitive number.

Don't forget Jeremy's new side loader hearse, builder still unknown!:thumb:
Oh thats right, Ledford's Coach in Shop Springs TN. They got a great new line of Side Loaders. I hear there working on a new Flower Car, cant wait to see it. And theres a roomer going around about maby a new 6 door.:bonk:

Lima Commercial Coach

This company is building coaches using Chevy Silverados. It's rumored that Bud Bayliff has his hands in this company, but given the coach lamps at the B pillars( his trade mark) I would say that this is highly possible.

count the 6 doors on the side loader coach that is already built... :blahblah:

I don't believe John J. C. Little in Ontario Province has been mentioned yet. His small firm produced some great coaches on many chassis. A TPC mag from many years ago had an article about the one-off '41 Cad carved panel side-loader that started out as a Series 61 fastback coupe. That car was later re-created, starting again with another Series 61.
