Chief Ron was so HAPPY this day....

This man actually told me, "Richard, best thing you could do it strip this ambulance and junk it". Goes to show you Ron, anything is possible with time and money, mostly MONEY!

He proved me wrong! I still have never ever seen so much mouse $hit in all my life.

Mouse dirt!

Having purchase the 1957 MM that was sitting in front of Richard's car... I have become an expert on rodent excrement! :shit2:

Those little creatures just love the stuffing in vintage car seats! They systematically removed as much "nesting material" as they needed from the front bench seat and carried it to the well compartment in the rear floor!

Although I've cleaned it several times, I'm not sure that I have found all the deposits. All the lights work, etc. but I have not yet observed how much damage to wiring and insulation may have been caused, ‘neath the headliner!

More to come!

I still battle a recurring urine odor (mouse urine) in my 54". It will be gone and I think it over then it will come back.

I didn't have any mouse presents in my car, even though it was from the same former owner, but I think that's because a cat had been living in mine for years. I spent forever cleaning hairballs, fur, and other smelly cat gifts. Replacing the curtains made a pretty big difference in getting rid of the smell.

Mouse Urine Smell

An OZONE air purifier will get rid of the smell. Put it in the vehicle, roll up all the windows, close the doors, and let it run for 4 or 5 days. It DOES work. I have a 30 Packard and 27 Pierce-Arrow that sat in a barn for 35 years serving as mouse houses. Now you cannot detect anything at all.

You can rent them on-line or maybe a local carpet cleaning company may have one. People that do smoke and mold removal usually have them.

My mouse smell is pretty much gone now. Believe me, it has taken years to get the smell out with lots of cleaning products and little smelly things. While replacing the rear floor I did locate an old mouse nest under the floor-YUCK!

As President Duffy says, "Onward and Upward".
